Kotinos Hotel takes its name from an ancient Greek name. “Κότινος” means “Olive Wreath” in Greek. The olive was a symbol of the Olympic Ideals for the Ancient Greeks. For this reason, the award for the Olympic Games winners was a wreath (Kotinos) made of olive branches. The olive branch symbolizes peace, victory and purity.
